But family or not it’s a great story, full of action and adventure, infidelity, tragedy and betrayal, with characters and events that need no fiction to enhance them.

The website was selected for preservation by the National Library of Australia in 2015 and was archived to ensure long-term access to the collected information it contains.

The website contains the factual information that is used for the fictional work, Izzy, which tells the story of a woman’s struggle to achieve financial independence in the 19th Century, a time when women had no rights and few opportunities.
